ALD Vacuum Technologies GmbH thanks you for your interest in our company and our services. We want you to feel secure regarding the way your personal data is protected when you visit our website. This document provides you with comprehensive information on how your personal data is used. This information applies to you whether you are simply a visitor to our website, a prospective buyer, or a customer.
The legal requirements for how data are collected on our website first include providing users our Data Privacy Declaration to transparently state what personal data are saved, for what purpose data are saved, and how data are processed.
Personal data are the key to data privacy law. Whenever data can be related to specific individuals under the law, it may only be processed in accordance with the regulations of data privacy law. 2. Collection of personal data
The following document provides information on the personal data ALD Vacuum Technologies GmbH receives on you. This includes your name, address, and information on your device (such as your IP address).
2.1. What data is collected when you visit our website www.ald-vt.com?

• Operating system used
• Referrer URL
• Host name of the accessing computer
• Time of the server request
Cookies are small text files that save information on the page visitor’s computer. They are used to recognize page visitors and identify them. Purpose of the cookie
Session cookie with SessionID:
When you surf on the pages of our website, the website session cookie informs us that you are the same person requesting the website, and not a new visitor on every page. This cookie does not identify you personally and is not linked to other information we have saved on you.
We use this cookie to differentiate between unique users by assigning users a randomly generated number as a customer designation. This is included every time a website page is requested and used to calculate visitor, session, and campaign data for analytic reports for the website.

2.3. Social plug-ins
We currently use the following social media plug-ins: Facebook, Google+, Xing, LinkedIn. The marking on the box above the initial letter or the logo indicate the providers of these plug-ins. We allow you to communicate directly with the plug-in provider through the button. Only if you click on the marked field, activating the plug-in, will the plug-in provider receive the information that you have accessed the website of our online service. In the case of Facebook and Xing, the providers have indicated your IP address is immediately anonymized in Germany after it is collected. Activating the plug-in transmits your personal data to the respective plug-in provider and saves it there (in the USA for US providers). Since the plug-in provider collects data in particular via cookies, we recommend that you delete all cookies using your browser security settings before you click on the grayed out button.
We cannot influence either the collected data or data processing procedures, nor are we aware of the full scope of data collected, the purpose of processing, or data storage terms. We also do not have any information on when the plug-in provider deletes collected data.
The plug-in provider saves data collected on you as a usage profile and uses it for the purposes of advertisement, market research, and/or to design its website in line with your needs. Data is analyzed in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to display advertisements in line with their needs and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the formation of such user profiles, but you must contact the specific plug-in provider to exercise this right. We use plug-ins to offer you the option of interacting with social networks and other users so we can improve our services and make them more interesting to you as a user. Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR serves as the legal basis for using these plug-ins.
Data is transmitted whether or not you have an account with the plug-in provider and are logged into it. If you are logged into the plug-in provider, data collected on our page is associated directly to your account with the plug-in provider. If you press the activated button, for instance linking to a page, the plug-in provider also saves this information to your user account and publicly discloses it to your contacts. We recommend that you regularly log out after using a social network, in particular before activating the button, since this will ensure the plug-in provider cannot associate your access to your profile. Integration of YouTube videos
We have integrated YouTube videos saved on http://www.YouTube.com into our website. These can be played directly from our website. These are all integrated in “expanded data privacy mode,” meaning that no information on you as a user is transmitted to YouTube if you do not play the videos. Only if you play videos are the data indicated in paragraph 2 transmitted. We have no influence on this data transmission.
When you visit our website, YouTube receives information that you accessed a specific website sub-page. If you do not want this information to be associated with you YouTube profile, you must log out before pressing the button. YouTube saves your data as a usage profile and uses it for the purposes of advertisement, market research, and/or to design its website in line with your needs. Data is analyzed in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to display advertisements in line with their needs and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. 2.4. Range analysis
Google Analytics is the most used web analysis service. The page operator integrates a snippet of code into the source code of its websites which transmits page visitor data to Google Analytics, where it is analyzed. However, Google also uses this data for other purposes, especially for advertising purposes.
Google Analytics can be used in a legally secure manner as of the agreement between the Hamburg Data Protection Officer and Google in September of 2011.
For this purpose, ALD Vacuum Technologies GmbH has:
• concluded a contract data processing agreement with Google.
• abbreviated your IP address before collection by Google.
2.4.1. Data privacy declaration for the use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. “Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies,” text files saved on your computer that facilitate an analysis of your use of our website. The information provided by these cookies regarding your use of our website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will, however, be shortened within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states in the Agreement on the European Economic Area before this transfer.
Only in exceptional cases will your full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA, where it will be shortened. 2.4.2. Objection to data collection
Opt-out cookies prevent your data from being in collected in the future when you visit this website. In order to prevent recording through universal analytics across different devices, you must complete the opt-out on all systems you use. 2.5. Google reCAPTCHA
On this website we also use the reCAPTCHA function from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”). This function primarily serves to differentiate whether an entry is made by a natural person or whether it is misused by mechanical and automated processing. The service includes sending the IP address and any other data required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service to Google and is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interest in establishing individual responsibility on the Internet and avoiding abuse and spam. 3. Processing and use of personal data
We only process personal data if necessary to initiate, design the content of, or change the legal relationship (inventory data). We only collect, process, and use personal data regarding how our websites are used (usage data) if necessary to allow users to access our services or invoice them for doing so.
We would like to note that data transmission online (for instance through e-mail communication) may involve gaps in security. It is not possible to provide seamless protection for data from third party access.
For reasons of security, and to protect the transmission of confidential content such as inquiries you send to us as the page operator, this page uses SSL encryption. ALD Vacuum Technologies GmbH has taken all necessary technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data against loss, unauthorized access, or other misuse. Your data is saved in a secure operating environment not accessible to the public. In certain cases (for instance when processing login data), your personal data is encrypted during transmission. This means communication between your computer and our servers is handled using a recognized encryption process, if this is supported by your browser.
Our employees are trained on data privacy law issues and handle all data and information to which you receive access responsibly at all times.
If you contact us via e-mail, we would like to note that it will not be possible to fully guarantee the confidentiality of transmitted information. Third parties can view the contents of e-mails.
5. Rights of data subjects
You have the right to receive information on personal data saved on you at any time, and to request that incorrect data be corrected. Furthermore, you have the right to have your personal data transmitted in a current, machine-readable format and the right to restrict processing.
